Carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy A21 receiving One UI 4.1 (Android 12) update in the US
Carrier-unlocked unit of Samsung Galaxy A21 smartphone users are receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software update in the US. Identified via the build version A215U1UEU7CVI3, the latest update bears a bunch of new features along with various improvements and new personalization options.
Among so many features, the most prominent is the Color Palette that will let you completely customize your phone with the theme based on your phone’s wallpaper. Another notable feature is Grammarly-powered Samsung Keyboard that indicates you when you type a wrong spelling or grammar as well as tells you the correct.

The Camera app is also getting some new feature to enhance your photography experience while the Galaxy app has new editing tools like Object eraser and Shadow eraser so that you don’t need any third party app to edit your pictures.

Next, the Calendar app offers an improved search engine as it gets a new home screen Calendar widget and the enhanced Device Care feature now provides you better accessibility features and more Eye Comfort options.
Carrier-unlocked users of Galaxy A21 phones further gets enhanced quick share feature, Google Duo Live sharing, RAM Plus, improved Notes app, better Dark Mode, new Always On Display settings, additional lock screen widgets, and much more.
Besides these features, Samsung has significantly improved the Privacy and security of your phone with the new microphone and camera indigators. Meanwhile, you can also access the third-party apps more seamlessly with the Samsung and Google collaboration.
What about Android 13/One UI 5.0?
Samsung is testing the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update though Beta builds on select Galaxy smartphones. At the moment, only Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy A52 devices get a change to test these builds while the Fold 4 and Flip 4 are next in line.
But the Samsung Galaxy A21 is not eligible for the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 upgrade, the Android 12 is the last major switch for the devices and now it will receive only security patch updates.
Samsung is rolling out the March 2023 Android security patch update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones in Europe. This update fixes many unwanted issues and further sweetens the One UI 5.1 software.
As per the information, these foldable smartphones are receiving optimizations for system stability. It ensures that you don’t meet any crashing, freezing, or lagging problems while operating the phone.

For security enhancement, the Korean firm has fixed over 60 related issues and exposures. These include 5 Critical and 35 High levels of CVEs from Google’s Android operating system and 23 Galaxy-specific SVEs that were affecting One UI apps and services.
Besides these, Samsung does not bring any notable new features or changes with this update. Both these foldables recently grabbed the big One UI 5.1 update and their another feature-rich One UI 5.1.1 software is on the way.
Last year, Samsung brought the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 software with a lot of new features to make large-screen easy to use. A similar update is coming this year as well but there is no sign of Android 13L so far. It seems like One UI 5.1.1 will also rely on Android 13.
Moreover, the company is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box. The next-gen foldable phones may debut in August this year, whereas the One UI 5.1.1 may be available for older Galaxy devices a month later of launch.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor models of Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra have started receiving the fresh March 2023 Android security patch update with new improvements and bug fixes.
More specifically, Samsung is releasing the update in Asia, Latin America, North America, China, and the United States. But since it’s a staged rollout, it may take some time to reach all devices.

What’s new:
Samsung has not brought multiple changes with the latest March 2023 update for Galaxy S22 phones. It improves the system’s security and stability to deliver a seamless performance in order to maintain the users’ experience.
Aside from these, the company also addresses over five dozen privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities. These include 40 CVEs – 5 of Critical reveal and 35 or High level that come from Google’s Android security bulletin.
It further resolves 23-Galaxy Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures that were affecting various One UI apps and services and harming users’ privacy.

Samsung Galaxy S22 customers have been noticing battery drain and heating issues on their phones for a long. They hoped, One UI 5.1 will have some enhancements, but the battery drain remained unfixed.
However, the March 2023 update has improved the battery life of the devices. Users say that they are having great battery life, which is at its best since the launch.

Samsung started distributing the November 2021 security patch to the Galaxy A31 smartphones in several Asian countries including Caucasus countries, Russia, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan. November security patch comes with fixes for several CVEs and SVEs from Google and Samsung.
