Samsung One UI 5.1 is officially introduced with the new Galaxy S23 series smartphones and it has a bunch of new features. Additionally, the company has brought several improvements to different elements of the One UI software, such as Picture in Picture.

The Korean company has been offering the Picture in Picture feature for Galaxy smartphones for so long. It allows you to always keep an eye on the video you’re watching or directions to your destination even when you are performing other tasks on your phone.

This feature is available for some of your most used apps like YouTube, Maps, Chrome, WhatsApp, and other video streaming services. Once activated, it displays the app in a floating window that you can move around your screen.

However, this large Picture in Picture can disturb the other work you are doing on your phone. So for a good, Samsung made this Picture in Picture pop-up smaller (via V3trox360) with the new One UI 5.1 software. This way, you can continue watching your videos as well as check messages or do other work without interruptions.

The Picture-in-Picture feature comes enabled on new Galaxy smartphones. In case you need to manage it, visit your phone’s Settings, search for and select Picture-in-picture, and then select Picture-in-picture again.

You’ll see a list of apps that are compatible with the feature. Touch the app you want to deny permission for and then touch the toggle next to Allow permission. Now you won’t be able to use the app in a picture-in-picture window unless you grant the permission again.
