Alongside its Android 13 skin, Samsung introduced the One UI 5 Good Lock customization suite with improved performance over its predecessor. In addition, the company released four new plugins that allow you to use various exciting new features on your Galaxy with the One UI 5 update. Let’s check them out!

One UI 5 Good Lock

Instead of Good Lock 2023, Samsung released the new One UI 5 Good Lock for Galaxy devices. The new customization suite is loved by millions of Galaxy smartphone and tablet users, but with limited availability for devices and countries.

Camera Assistant

Camera Assistant is a major addition to the Good Lock suite that lets users customize functions and select features of your Galaxy’s stock Camera app’s regular Photo mode. The app provides you with a total of six ON/OFF choices for the following features:

• Auto HDR
• Soften pictures
• Auto lens switching
• Video recording in Photo mode
• Faster shutter
• Clean preview on HDMI displays

  2. Camera timeout

Dropship [Korea limited]

Samsung’s Dropship is a cross-platform file-sharing tool that makes it easier to share files across Android, iOS, and the Web. This is also a part of the One UI 5 Good Lock, which is currently in the Early Access stage with availability in certain regions.

RegiStar

ResiStar is the latest arrival to the Good Lock crew and exclusively available for Galaxy devices upgraded to the One UI 5.0. This plugin unlocks the possibility of customizing the functionality of buttons as well as back tap features for select Galaxies.

Galaxy to Share (GTS)

Samsung has now released yet another new plugin – Galaxy to Share for the Good Lock suite that lets users share all customization and module settings across Galaxy devices.

1. Select and apply the settings you want in the Recommended tab.
2. You can manage and share the settings you have created.
3. Dropship the settings created with Galaxy To Share
4. Share through the app.

Samsung Galaxy to Share 

Samsung Galaxy to Share (GTS) app lets you share your own created Good Lock settings and decorations with other users. You can share and manage your own created Theme, Wallpaper, AOD, keyboard, launcher, and more with others. With the help of the Dropship app, Share settings are made with Galaxy to Share.

Several Good Lock modules are compatible with the Galaxy to Share app including KeysCafe, Theme Park, LockStar, Sound Assistant, Home Up, MulitiStar, ClockFace, QuickStar, NavStar, One Hand Operation +, and more.

To be mentioned, the Galaxy to Share app is only available for Galaxy devices that are running on Android 13-based One UI 5.0 or later versions. In order to share your own created settings, you need to allow permission to transfer photo and video files.

Samsung Sound Assistant 4.4.0.3 Update

According to the changelog, the latest update of the Sound Assistant app brings stabilization for Galaxy to Share (GTS) support. The Good Lock module GTS lets you share your own created Good Lock settings and decoration with other users.

However, the Sound Assistant module is already compatible with the Galaxy to Share along with some other Good Lock modules, and the company is currently enhancing the stability of this support to make it more useful.

It is an initial rollout so it may take hours/time to reach all eligible devices. You can check the latest update on Galaxy Store, by opening the Updates section under the Menu option. Also, you can download the update from the link mentioned here.

Aside from this, Samsung now allows users to update all Good Lock plugins at once. Just open the Good Lock app on your Galaxy smartphone >> More option >> Press on Updates all plugins option >> Tap on Update. Make sure the Good Lock app is updated to the latest version.

Apart from this, you can also share Wallpaper, Theme, AOD, Launcher, and Settings using the Galaxy to Share module. Do note that the service is an exclusive part of One UI 5 Good Lock, therefore, you will be needing a Galaxy device running Stable Android 13.
