Samsung’s October 2022 patch comes with fixes for around 50 vulnerabilities and errors that affect the privacy and security of your phone. These fixes contain 42 issues that are related to Google Android OS and 18 Galaxy-specific flaws that were affecting various device components, apps, and services of One UI software.

In addition to these, optimizing the security and stability of the phone is a common aspect that the company has worked on with this update. The improved security ensures that your device is protected from bugs and viruses whereas, the stability enhancement makes sure that you won’t face any problems like lagging, crashing, freezing, etc while using your device.

Besides the monthly security patch update, Samsung Galaxy A72 devices are eligible to install the One UI 5.0 software upgrade which is based on Android 13 OS. This will be the second major Android update for the device and it’s likely to receive the next Android version as well.

Furthermore, the company is running the One UI 5.0 Beta program for select flagship and mid-range Galaxy phones and has announced to begin the public rollout at the end of this month. The Galaxy A72 is also expected to get this update before the end of this year.
