One UI 5.1 rolls out to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 as second last major update

Samsung begins rolling out One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 foldable smartphone in Europe. At present, the rollout is taking place in Germany with PDA software version F916BXXU2JWB5. There’s plenty to explore in the update, however, it also brings February 2023 security patch.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone debuted with Android 10-based One UI 2.5 out of the box. Samsung delivered three Android upgrades including v11, v12, and v13. Still, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is eligible for the tentative One UI 5.1.1 update, which will be based on Android 13.

The new One UI 5.1 software comes with enhanced image editing with an automatic shadow and reflection remover tool, Shared Family Album, the ability to change selfie color tones easily, and Expert RAW shortcut in the stock camera app.

In the Gallery app, you can now use the improved search feature and can find out images of people by just tapping on the face icon. For multitasking, the One UI 5.1 version makes it even easier to minimize and maximize app window size by dragging its corners.

There’s a new section added in the Split view entitled most used apps, so you can navigate across apps seamlessly. The DeX feature is also getting advancements for window resizing in the split-screen mode with the help of the divider.

Talking about personalization and cool stuff! The One UI 5.1 brings three new widget options for Battery, Spotify tracks, and Dynamic Weather. Thanks to the new firmware, users can now stay aware of the battery percentage of all connected devices on the home screen of smartphones.

Aside from this, One UI 5.1 includes some minor changes such as improved search within Samsung Internet, and the ability to access recently browsed Samsung Internet tabs on the phone using a Windows PC. Last but not least, you are now able to alter the folder where screenshots and screen recordings get saved
