Samsung launched Galaxy A42 5G last year in select regions such as the US and Europe. It comes pre-installed with Android 10-based One UI 2, while currently enjoying the latest One UI 3.1 on top of the Android 11 operating system.

Recently, Verizon pushed a new firmware update to the Galaxy A42 5G smartphone users in the US. Users can identify this update via PDA software version A426USQU3AUH3, which brings system security improvements by installing new Android patches released in August 2021.

Samsung is now releasing new firmware updates to its two popular flagship lineups – Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 in the US. According to the info, the latest software comes with the August 2021 security patch in order to enhance the overall system security as well as stability.

The August 2021 Android security patch rollout is now taking place for the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series locked on the Comcast and Xfinity Mobile carriers in the US. You can see the new software build numbers below.

The Galaxy S10 series devices had recently started picking up their August 2021 security update in select European countries. Now, the latest information suggests that the company is expanding the availability of this firmware to the T-Mobile Galaxy S10 5G consumers in the US.

In the US, T-Mobile locked Galaxy S10 5G smartphones receiving a new software update that sports build number G977TUVS7FUG6. For your information, the release comes with the latest Android and One UI patches released in August 2021.

It’s worth mentioning that the August 2021 security update includes fixes for 38 CVEs, including 3 critical, from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung for the Galaxy S10 5G devices. However, the update should also bring enhancements to the overall performance.

One UI 3.1.1 or One UI 4, What’s next?

Although it’s a minor firmware update that includes just new Android patches for device security improvements. Meanwhile, it’s reported that Samsung is not in a mood to offer the full-fledged One UI 3.1.1 update to the current Galaxy phones and tablets.

According to the company, the new Galaxy A52 5G s/w update includes fixes for 38 threats and CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung. Moreover, it also brings enhancements to the system applications as well as fixes for some unknown bugs.
