[Update: USA] Samsung Galaxy A12 Android 12/One UI 4.1 starts rolling out
Two years old yet famous Samsung Galaxy A12 has begun collecting the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update, in a recent development. The update brings a lot of new features to give this budget smartphone user flagship-level customization options.

- Samsung has begun releasing the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update to the Galaxy A12 smartphone users in the United States. The update bears version number A125USQU3CVG4 which is currently available on T-Mobile and Sprint’s networks.
Well, this is the last major OS update for this device. It is not eligible for Android 13-based One UI 5.0 and after this current firmware, it will only receive security patches. As of now, it’s installing last month’s Android security patch which is July 2022 instead of the latest August 2022.

It’s worth mentioning that Samsung is currently rolling out the Galaxy A12 One UI 4.1 update for the Russian unit. However, as usual, the company will not take much time to spread the update widely. Coming to the changes that this update brings, Color Palette is the most noticeable change that Android 12-based One UI 4.1 brings to Galaxy customers. It is capable to theme your quick panel, dialer app, settings, volume panel, and app icons according to your wallpaper.
Next, the Samsung Keyboard has received a major change, it has added Grammarly so that you can ensure that you are not doing any spelling mistakes while typing a message. The Galaxy app has new editing tools called Object eraser and Shadow eraser.
Other than these, with the Enhanced quick share feature, you can more seamlessly share your files and quickly edit them before sending. Google Duo which is now merged with Google Meet lets you share your Gallery, videos, shows, etc with other persons on a video call.
Samsung Calendar now allows you to add stickers to entries while Samsung Notes, Samsung Internet, Dark Mode, Bixby Routines, Always On Display, and Widgets picker UI are now more powerful. Additionally, there are new lock screen widgets added.

Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones already received March 2023 update in selected European countries such as Germany. Now, the update is available for carrier-unlocked Galaxy S20 variants in the US and the company will expand this update soon for locked ones.
The latest update for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones in the US can be identified via One UI build versions G981U1UES3HWB5, G986U1UES3HWB5, and G988U1UES3HWB5 respectively.

Samsung’s March 2023 security patch brings Google patches that are mentioned in the Android security bulletin. For your Galaxy S20, there are a number of common vulnerability exposures mentioned in the document, including:

Samsung brings March 2023 update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 in Europe
Samsung is rolling out the March 2023 Android security patch update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones in Europe. This update fixes many unwanted issues and further sweetens the One UI 5.1 software.

For security enhancement, the Korean firm has fixed over 60 related issues and exposures. These include 5 Critical and 35 High levels of CVEs from Google’s Android operating system and 23 Galaxy-specific SVEs that were affecting One UI apps and services.
Besides these, Samsung does not bring any notable new features or changes with this update. Both these foldables recently grabbed the big One UI 5.1 update and their another feature-rich One UI 5.1.1 software is on the way.
Last year, Samsung brought the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 software with a lot of new features to make large-screen easy to use. A similar update is coming this year as well but there is no sign of Android 13L so far. It seems like One UI 5.1.1 will also rely on Android 13.
Moreover, the company is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box. The next-gen foldable phones may debut in August this year, whereas the One UI 5.1.1 may be available for older Galaxy devices a month later of launch.
