Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with Exynos 2200 surpass Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on Geekbench
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S22 series on February 9, 2022. We’ve encountered a lot of leaks and rumors about the upcoming flagship devices and about their internals too. Recently, the Galaxy S22 Ultra equipped with Exynos 2200 SoC benchmarked on Geekbench, beating the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
According to the information, the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra (model SM-S908B) featuring Exynos 2200 appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website. However, the single-core and multi-core scores of the Exynos 2200 are not much different from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Geekbench listing reveals that the Exynos 2200 chip’s single-core score is 1168, while the multi-core score is 3508. On the other hand, the same device with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip earlier recorded 1226 points in the single-core test and 3462 points in the multi-core test.
Following the listing, it can be seen that the multi-core score of Exynos 2200 is slightly better, and the single-core score is slightly lower than that of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. And the benchmark data suggests that Exynos 2200 is not far better than the 8 Gen 1.
If you don’t know, the Exynos 2200 is based on Samsung’s 4nm process and adopts a “1+3+4” design. The super core is Cortex X2, the large core is Cortex A710, the small core is Cortex A510, and the GPU is Xclipse 920 with AMD RDNA 2 architecture.
It’s officially confirmed that the Exynos 2200 chip will be first launched with the Galaxy S22 series and will only be available in a few markets such as Europe. On the other hand, the US, Chinese, and some South-Eastern region markets will get Galaxy S22 series with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
