Early Look: Samsung’s new droplet hinge could make Galaxy Z Fold 5 a masterpiece
Samsung is reportedly considering two kinds of hinges for the next Galaxy Z Fold smartphone. At the CES 2023, Samsung showcased a Galaxy Fold prototype with a waterdrop (droplet) hinge design, which could be commercialized with the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
As displayed at the Samsung CES 2023 booth, the Galaxy Fold with a waterdrop hinge design looks quite thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The company executive showcased the prototype of a smartphone having a droplet hinge and Galaxy Z Fold 4 side by side.

If the hinge design used by the prototype becomes reality, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 could be defined as a masterpiece by Samsung in terms of design. This hinge could not only reduce the thickness but make the foldable sleek and lightweight.
