Samsung is yet to launch the Galaxy S23 series flagships, while we just spotted very early information about the Galaxy Z Fold 5. A Vietnam-based blog reports that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is Samsung’s super project and it wants to show off all trending technologies with it.

The report further indicates that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is under testing, which is powered by a strangely named Qualcomm chip, Snapdragon 985 5G. This mysteriously named processor is fabricated on 4nm process technology and could be a custom CPU for Samsung foldables.

Samsung wanted to bring the S Pen slot with the past generation of the Galaxy Z Fold but it didn’t happen because of limitations. In 2023, the S Pen slot is finally coming to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone as the company slightly increased its thickness (6.3mm to 6.5) and weight.

Last but not least, the increment in the phone’s weight happened because of serious camera upgrades. A tipster recently revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 could come with a 108MP camera sensor. The report indicates that the Z Fold 5 device could bring a completely new camera setup.

At present, the company is focussing on the Galaxy S23 series smartphones and Galaxy Unpacked for February. After the first unpacked, there could be an Unpacked Part 2 where the Galaxy S22 FE and Buds 2 Live could be introduced. For now, we suggest you take the latest Fold 5 rumors as a grain of salt.
