Samsung’s One UI 5.1 update enters Galaxy S20 FE LTE
A bit late, but it’s finally happening! Samsung has started to deliver the major One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy S20 FE LTE smartphones. This update comes with loads of new features and enhancements for your Galaxy device.
As reported by tipster Tarun Vats, the Galaxy S20 FE One UI 5.1 software is initially available to download in Germany. However, we expected that the company will not take much time spreading it to more users globally.

One UI 5.1 is the last major One UI update for your Galaxy S20 FE smartphone. Now it will only get security patch updates and some minor feature enhancements for a year.

Launched in 2020, Samsung Galaxy S20 series smartphones arrived with the Android 10-based One UI 2 software. Later, the devices got access to Android 11 One UI 3, Android 12 One UI 4, and Android 13 One UI 5 operating systems.
According to Samsung’s software update policy, these phones are only applicable for three major Android upgrades, therefore, they will not get the upcoming Android 14 One UI 6 and other major updates.

What’s new:
The new One UI software comes with two new Widgets – the Battery widget and the Dynamic Weather widget. At the same time, it greatly improves the Smart Suggestion widget with useful changes.
Next, it brings multiple Gallery app features, such as a common family album, a more convenient information display, improved handling, and more. The Camera app is also being improved with a new Effects button for selfies.
In addition to these, the update offers Bixby Text Call in the English language, new pop-up view and split-screen view features for easier multitasking, the ability to add Modes-based wallpapers, support for ‘Continue using app on other devices’ feature in Samsung Internet, and many more.
