Google’s upcoming Pixel foldable, named ‘Pixel Notepad’, costs less than Galaxy Fold
The upcoming Google Pixel foldable smartphone may look like the OPPO Find N rather than the Galaxy Z fold 3. Well, 9to5Google found something really interesting when digging around the Android 12L Beta 2 code, and this device could be named “Pixel Notepad” at a lower price than expected.
Based on previous reports, the site has found references to Google’s upcoming Pixel foldable device called ‘Pipit’. Two animations were unveiled as part of this. The first shows how to insert a SIM card into a folding smartphone while folding. The second one does the same, but when the phone is unfolded.
In addition, the device shown in these animations has a wider aspect ratio than the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It really is like the Oppo Find N, to be very honest.
The phone has keys on the left side and it does not seem to be too long. Keep in mind that this can only be a placeholder image, however, it has nothing to do with the Pixel foldable. However, the chances of this happening are plentiful.
Suppose that. What benefits does this bring to the Galaxy Z Fold 3? Well, the Oppo Find N has its width when folded and does not need to be rotated when unfolded as it is not that long. The main display is probably compact enough so you can use it with one hand. This is the whole point of having a foldable smartphone.
If the device in these animations is its upcoming foldable smartphone then Google can use a similar one in its foldable.
Google’s first foldable smartphone is expected to arrive in Q4 2021, but it has not arrived. However, it will launch almost this year. It is not yet known when, but it is coming.
