Notification Panel

Notification Panel! This is the most used feature of the smartphone, whenever we open our smartphone, we open this panel first with the swipe-down gesture on the home screen.

However, it is not a trend that you have to open the notification panel after opening the mobile, but the reason behind this is that you can see the notifications of all apps in this panel. From here, you can directly go to any part of the app that the notification shows.

Major Samsung Notification Panel Changes: One UI 5.0 vs One UI 4.1

At first glance, you may feel that there has been no change in the notification panel of One UI 5 and One UI 4.1, but with the release of the major One UI 5.0 update, there will be some changes, let’s explore them.

Transparency

If we compare with One UI 4.1, the layout and design of the notification panel of One UI 5 are the same. Starting with the digital clock, the positions of the top icon, date, settings gear icon, and primary quick setting toggles have not changed. Also, the design of the brightness slider remains the same.

However, the One UI 5.0 Notification panel is now less transparent than the previous design to display information more clearly.

App icons in the notifications

To further highlight the app icon in notifications, a circular background has been added behind the icon with One UI 5.0. In One 4.1, the app’s icon appeared along with the notification.

Notification Settings and Clear button

In addition to the app icon in the notification, notification settings, and clear button options have also been enhanced with One UI 5.0 as a black-colored transparent pill shape background has also been added behind them so that now these buttons look more clear.

With One UI 4.1, both options are available but there is no background behind them.

Notification Settings

In One UI 4.1, when we open the Notification settings, a page will open where all the settings related to the notification will be there. But now with One UI 5.0, when we open the Notification settings option, the App notification page gets opened.
