The Samsung Galaxy S22 series launched earlier this year with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box. The S22 series devices have started receiving the new Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update with a number of new features and improvements over its predecessor.

No doubt, the One UI 5.0 update is a big deal for the Galaxy S22 series smartphone users as it takes the overall user experience to a whole new level. Meanwhile, we want to know: are you missing the One UI 4.1, which came pre-installed with your Galaxy S22?

One UI 4.1

Following its tradition, the South Korean tech giant debuted a new incremental version of its Android 12-based One UI custom skin. The new One UI 4.1 was introduced along with the Galaxy S22 series at this year’s Galaxy Unpacked event.

Since its official debut, Samsung rolled out this new software iteration to several Galaxy phones and tablets that had upgraded to the Android 12-based One UI 4.0. Besides, some Galaxy devices, mostly mid-range and budget ones have directly received the One UI 4.1 from the One UI 3.x.

Over the Android 12-based One UI 4.0, the new One UI 4.1 update arrived with lots of new useful features for consumers. When it comes to system animations, the One UI 4.1 is one of Samsung’s most praised software iterations to date.

One UI 5.0

One UI 5.0 is Samsung’s most recent Stable software generation based on Android OS. It comes with a slew of new features for Galaxy smartphones in order to make everyday experiences epic. Moreover, it is deeply inspired by Android 13 which makes it able to use complete Material You design language.

The One UI 5.0 update is available for Galaxy S22 series, while Samsung is working on the rollout according to this schedule.
