Samsung Galaxy S21 One UI 5.1 update reaches South Korea, what’s new

Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra customers living in South Korea are joining the millions of Galaxy users who have installed the One UI 5.1 update. This new software is loaded with a set of new features as well as improvements for the older ones.

In the meantime, it also brings the latest February 2023 Android security patch to provide users with the most upgraded One UI security and enhance the system stability.

The company is sending a massive One UI 5.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra customers in Korea with built versions G991NKSU3EWB1, G996NKSU3EWB1, and G998NKSU3EWB1, respectively.

What’s new:

First of all, Samsung One UI 5.1 makes it easy to change the color tone of selfies through the Effects button on the side of the screen. Into the camera, it further adds a shortcut to launch the Expert RAW app so you capture high-quality pictures effortlessly.

Moreover, the update brings a handful of improvements to the Gallery app. It only improves the old picture editing tools but also makes picture sharing and search easier, improves handling, as well as offers a convenient information display.

The widgets section is meeting significant changes as it gets a new Battery widget that shows your phone, wearables, and connected Bluetooth device battery percentage at a glance. In the meantime, the intuitive weather widget provides a summary of the current weather conditions.

Aside from these, you can set different wallpapers on the lock screen and the home screen depending on your current activities, such as work, sports, and others by setting different modes. Whereas, active scripts now appear at the top of the Scripts screen so you know they’re running and make adjustments as needed.

The One UI 5.1 update further makes it easier for users to maximize or minimize windows without opening options with improved Samsung DeX. Samsung Internet is also optimized with the integration of continuous browsing on another device feature.

In addition to these improvements, the Bixby text call feature is now available in the English language, the initial setup of your Galaxy device has become faster and easier, the Weather app now displays weather information on the app’s main screen, and more.
