The Galaxy S22 series smartphones are available for consumers to purchase through the pre-order channel in various countries. Although Samsung is facing harsh shortages in even delivering the Galaxy S22 units to pre-order consumers, a notice just emerged in the UK, adding yet another (trade-in) controversy in the entire matter.

According to a UK-based Galaxy S22 Ultra user, Samsung sent a notice citing that your device will be blocked in 24 hours, however, the company noted an incomplete trade-in procedure related to the linked handset as the reason behind such action behind blocking the unit.

In addition, the Samsung Notice recommends the Galaxy S22 Ultra user complete the trade-in process by returning the old smartphone that was linked when ordering the new flagship. In this case, if the user fails to return the linked unit within 24 hours, the company will block the device, making it entirely useless.

There are two possibilities about the company’s notice; from the consumer’s end or technical issue. As the user is claiming that he has already given all the needed information and even Samsung acknowledged this purchase “fine” last week.

On the other side, it could be a technical issue as the consumer said that Samsung is unable to track the linked trade-in unit that’s its server prompting such notice of blocking. As it seems the first concern of unit blocking, we recommend our readers make sure to complete every formality while purchasing the new Galaxy using trade-in.
