Crazy! Google gifts RCS code to Apple, Samsung trolls

Android operating system greatly improved the messaging service and evolved the RCS (Rich Communication Services). Almost every smartphone manufacturer adopted the new RCS standard for text messaging, except for Apple, which avoids RCS in favor of its iMessage.

Google has been running #GetTheMessage campaign to force Apple to adopt the RCS messaging standard. And in the latest development, Google badly trolled Apple by offering the code of RCS so it can start upgrading to the widely available messaging service.

Through the Android’s Twitter handle, Google wishes “Happy New Year, Apple!” The company, in the Twitter post, mentioned that iPhone/iOS users deserve to finally have a modern texting experience – RCS. Riddle didn’t end here as the US tech giant even offered RCS Code to Apple as a CES gift.

Android’s Twitter post message reads, “hey Apple. It’s Android. since CES is about sharing the latest tech, we thought we’d share some code to help fix your pixelated texting problem. oh wait… yeah, you still use SMS. 😂” After this graphical chat, the attached GIF begins showing alleged code to apply RCS.

Everyone knows, Google and Samsung have a great partnership for Android, Wear OS and so on. And when it comes to trolling Apple, Samsung never leaves any chance, the same happened again. The company joined Android’s Tweet by commenting “Imagine a 2023 where everyone can #GetTheMessage.”
