The data has been calculated from March 2021 to August 2022. As of now, this feature is only available for a limited Galaxy A series which has now been extended to Galaxy F and M series devices. Also, this mode is available on selected Galaxy S, Note, and Z series smartphones.

Last year, the company launched region-specific AR lenses in India and has since expanded to other countries including Germany, Indonesia, Brazil, the Philippines, and Mexico.

What is Fun Mode?

Fun Mode! It is an exclusive feature of the Samsung Galaxy A series that lets users can take pictures and videos from the stock camera app to turn any moment into fun and unique content to share with their friends or upload to their social media.

In the year 2021, Samsung announced a partnership with Snapchat to bring AR Lens directly into the native Camera app of Galaxy devices. Fun Mode is powered by Snap’s camera suite, which allows businesses and developers to bring Snap’s augmented reality capabilities into their own apps.

Fun Mode is a very useful feature for selfie lovers, as it brings all the popular AR filters inspired by Snapchat to the Samsung One UI Camera app.

The SVP of Content and Partnerships at Snap, Ben Schwerin stated:

Lenses are the way over 250 million Snapchatters engage with augmented reality every day, and we’re thrilled that these experiences delight and resonate with Samsung Galaxy’s community. Integrating the Camera Kit into Samsung Galaxy’s proprietary camera is an opportunity to collaborate on compelling, local AR experiences and bring them to Galaxy users around the world.”
