Samsung S21 FE One UI 5.0 features

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE One UI 5.0 Features:

16 Color Palettes:

With One UI 5.0, Samsung has significantly improved the Color Palette feature to provide us with more color themes that sync our phone’s wallpaper. The company has expanded the Dynamic Theme Color Palettes from 4 to 16.

In addition, the new software brings Dynamic Theming to more Samsung, Google, and other third-party applications so that when you apply the color palette to app icons, all applications will look similar.

Camera Watermark:

Samsung brought the Camera Watermark feature with fresh software. It might not be that exciting to know but what’s interesting is that the company has made it a bit customizable.

It allows us to enable and add Custom or Date and time watermarks. We can edit the Custom option with different texts such as our name, our phone’s name, or anything we want under the word limit.

Extract text from images:

It’s a very useful feature for me because many times I desire to copy text from images and paste it to somewhere else. Not only this, but we can also directly copy texts from the banner without even capturing its picture and send it to anyone.

Multitasking:

Another wonderful addition is the addition of new swipe gestures – Swipe for split-screen view and Swipe for Pop-up view in the Labs section to make multitasking easier. Just use these gestures and you will realize how easy it is to open a split-screen and Pop-up window now.

Calling features:

First of all, Samsung has replaced that older mini-call pop-up, which appears on the screen when you are doing another task. And, the new one is quite nice, it is bolder and instead of the Answer and Decline text to has two Red and Green buttons.

Aside from this, there are new Call backgrounds for each contact, which I feel is very nice as I was really bored with that old one.

Disable RAM Plus:

Have you ever felt that RAM Plus is taking up your internal storage and you don’t even have the ability to turn it off so that you can take full take advantage of your phone’s memory? Well, I felt it many times and I appreciate Samsung for giving me the ability to disable RAM Plus as I don’t always need it.

Lockdown Mode:

I don’t much need this feature but it’s quite good to have when you need privacy over your phone. When enabled, it restricts face unlock or fingerprint scanner, which is helpful in situations where someone can use your face or fingerprint to unlock the device without your knowledge. Also, it stops showing notifications on the lock screen to make sure that your data is safe.

Connected device:

One UI now has a new option on the Settings page known as Connected devices. Here, you can use all the features that are used in connection with other devices. This page looks neat so you won’t have to face any trouble in finding an option.

Help guide in Camera Pro mode:

For beginners, this feature is really helpful. It offers useful tips for you through the new Help guide function. When you open the Pro camera mode, you will see an “i” icon. Just tap on it and your phone’s camera will guide you on how to capture perfect shots.

It will show you some helpful tips for basic photography elements like ISO, shutter speed, white balance, focus, and more.

Security and Privacy:

With the new Security and Privacy dashboard in Settings, Samsung is making it easier than ever for you to keep your device protected and your sensitive information private. With one quick glance, you can get a quick overview of your device’s security and find suggestions and warnings depending on the status.

Don’t forget to share your favorite One UI 5.0 features with us!

There could be many professions but writing about tech is something that I've chosen and it's what I've been doing. Besides this, I like sketching, roaming, and shopping. I am a casual person and like to taste different dishes and Chinese is my favourite.

Lighting is one of the important factors in photography. With the new update, the company would like to introduce the Editors’ Tint Menu so that you can fine-tune the effect of these lights.

Samsung offers three different functions for adjusting the lighting, which look similar but are different. Those three functions are Light Balance, Definition, and Clearness. Let’s see these three functions of Samsung One UI 5.1 Photo Editor.

Improved Light Balance

Light Balance literally means the balance of light. This function adjusts the balance of brightness to the mid-tones in the image. This feature ensures visibility and balances brightness by making very dark areas slightly brighter and very bright areas slightly darker.

When we increase the (+) value, the light balance effect is adjusted to make the overall image brighter and more clear, while we increase the (-) value, the overall image becomes darker such as casting a shadow.

The Light Balance function is currently only available for photo editing and will be soon supported by Video Editor.

Sharpness Improvement

Sharpness is a feature that edits blurry photos to make them sharper. Although it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with light, it does involve the power of light.

Brighten the brightest point of the photo that bringing out the texture, which has the effect of sharpening the photo. The sharpness enhancement applies to photo editing and video editing alike.

New Clarity Feature

Clarity is a new feature of the latest One UI 5.1 update. Alike the Sharpness function, the Clarity function applies the effect of lighting rather than changing it. This function makes bright areas of an image slightly brighter and dark areas slightly darker to enhance the texture or three-dimensional effect of the image. In One UI 5.1, Clarity is only available for photo editing, but the company is planning to release this feature to the Video Editor.
