Samsung Android 13/One UI 5.0 – Animation issue [Video: Beta 1 vs 2]

Samsung released two One UI 5.0 Beta builds to the Galaxy S22 series devices in qualified regions. Enhanced animation speed is one of the most highlighting changes of the new One UI 5.0 software, but, it reportedly has serious issues in animation speed, which have not been fixed with Beta 2.
Well-known leakster IceUniverse shared a video of running the Galaxy S22 Ultra on second One UI 5.0 Beta. The video shows animations got worse in the second One UI 5.0 Beta, which was significantly improved in the initial Beta build, compared to the One UI 4.1.

In the slow-motioned video shared by Ice, we can see that the response of gesture animation is too slow, and it’s a bit unresponsive as well. When the user swiped up to jump to the phone’s homescreen, the animation starts a few milliseconds later, which is easily noticeable.
In addition to this, the source also shared a video of One UI 5.0 Beta 1’s animations, which looks quite better than Beta 2. It seems, that the software system might have a bug, which is causing such kind of problems in the animation functionality.
We expect Samsung will further improve the animation speeds with the third One UI 5.0 Beta update on the Galaxy devices. In case you also think the animations should be improved, we recommend you use the Samsung Members app and send feedback so it could be implemented by devs.

Beta 2:
Another fatal error in Samsung One UI 5 Beta2 animation is that the gesture animation response is super slow, and the brain is unresponsive, so that I often touch other buttons at the bottom by mistake, not as good as iOS16 and One UI 4. @Samsung pic.twitter.com/I4xMfKMAP8

By the way, in fact, the animation of One UI 5 Beta1 is not bad, but they changed it to One UI 5 Beta2, and it became worse. Netizens joked: "Samsung fixed the bug that the animation was too smooth"

Lighting is one of the important factors in photography. With the new update, the company would like to introduce the Editors’ Tint Menu so that you can fine-tune the effect of these lights.
Samsung offers three different functions for adjusting the lighting, which look similar but are different. Those three functions are Light Balance, Definition, and Clearness. Let’s see these three functions of Samsung One UI 5.1 Photo Editor.
Improved Light Balance
Light Balance literally means the balance of light. This function adjusts the balance of brightness to the mid-tones in the image. This feature ensures visibility and balances brightness by making very dark areas slightly brighter and very bright areas slightly darker.
When we increase the (+) value, the light balance effect is adjusted to make the overall image brighter and more clear, while we increase the (-) value, the overall image becomes darker such as casting a shadow.
The Light Balance function is currently only available for photo editing and will be soon supported by Video Editor.
Sharpness Improvement
Sharpness is a feature that edits blurry photos to make them sharper. Although it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with light, it does involve the power of light.
Brighten the brightest point of the photo that bringing out the texture, which has the effect of sharpening the photo. The sharpness enhancement applies to photo editing and video editing alike.
New Clarity Feature
Clarity is a new feature of the latest One UI 5.1 update. Alike the Sharpness function, the Clarity function applies the effect of lighting rather than changing it. This function makes bright areas of an image slightly brighter and dark areas slightly darker to enhance the texture or three-dimensional effect of the image. In One UI 5.1, Clarity is only available for photo editing, but the company is planning to release this feature to the Video Editor.
