Samsung releases Android 13 update for carrier-locked Galaxy A13 in the US

The carrier-locked models of Galaxy A13 LTE have now joined the list of Samsung smartphones getting the major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in the US. This update unlocks a lot of new features, customization capabilities as well as a new user interface.

The company further brings multiple improvements to various One UI apps and services in order to glorify the overall system and its functions. In addition to these big changes, the latest update also installs the outdated November 2022 Android security patch for system safety concerns.

If you using a carrier-locked model of the Samsung Galaxy A13 smartphone in the US, you can identify the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update through the A135USQU2BVL4 version. Meanwhile, you can get access to it through the Software update section in Settings.

Android 13 One UI 5.0:

Samsung’s Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update brings multiple interface tweaks to the Quick settings panel, notification panel, and recent menu. It also comes with new and bolder app icons and other improvements for the home screen and the lock screen.

As far as the features are concerned, the device gets 16 new Color Palette options, Stack widgets, advanced Lock Screen personalization capabilities, Notification permission, Per-app language, new multitasking gestures for split screen and pop-up windows, new Lockdown mode, and other features.

It also gets the ability to disable RAM Plus, the new Extract text from image feature, and three new Settings menus – Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and privacy to let you manage related settings in one place.
