On February 01, Samsung officially announced One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 with Galaxy S23 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event 2023. It brings new features and enhancements over One UI 5.0 to provide a next level experience.

At the moment, almost all stock apps and Good Lock modules already got One UI 5.0 support and started getting One UI 5.1 support. The reason for updating Good Lock modules is to make them compatible with the latest version.

When a new major update is released for any smartphone, it brings many functions and changes, so sometimes some applications don’t work properly or start crashing. But Samsung does provide support to the apps so that no such issues arise.

Good Lock modules including One Hand Operation+, Theme Park, KeysCafe, Clockface, NotiStar, NiceShot, LockStar, Home Up, QuickStar, NotiStar, SoundAssistanat, Wonderland, NavStar, MultiStar, and more are compatible with One UI 5.1.

Spotted by Twitter user @tarunvats33, Samsung is working on the development of One UI 5.1.1 software on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The devices have recently received the One UI 5.1 update and the development hints at another big upgrade this year.

Last year, Samsung debuted the One UI 4.1.1 with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone, based on Android 12L. Google introduced the Android 12L, especially for tablets and large-screen devices such as foldable phones. The company is yet to announce Android 13L but the One UI 5.1.1 enters the development phase.

CheckFirm app spotted test builds on the Korean variants on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable phones. The recently released One UI 5.1 can be identified by “C” alphabet as the fourth last digit of Samsung’s firmware. And if you have a basic idea about Samsung’s strategy, you can’t take much time for verification.

One UI 5.1.1

Samsung is likely to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box. The next-gen foldable phones may debut in August this year, whereas the One UI 5.1.1 may be available for older Galaxy devices a month later of launch.

Most of the Galaxy devices (tablets and foldables) running Android 13-based One UI 5.1 will receive the next One UI update post-launch. It’s expected that the company might share the enhancements with the Galaxy S series and Galaxy A series smartphones too.

Samsung Galaxy to Share (GTS) app lets you share your own created Good Lock settings and decorations with other users. You can share and manage your own created Theme, Wallpaper, AOD, keyboard, launcher, and more with others. With the help of the Dropship app, Share settings are made with Galaxy to Share.

Several Good Lock modules are compatible with the Galaxy to Share app including KeysCafe, Theme Park, LockStar, Sound Assistant, Home Up, MulitiStar, ClockFace, QuickStar, NavStar, One Hand Operation +, and more.

To be mentioned, the Galaxy to Share app is only available for Galaxy devices that are running on Android 13-based One UI 5.0 or later versions. In order to share your own created settings, you need to allow permission to transfer photo and video files.

The Korean tech giant is rolling out a new update for Samsung Nice Catch with version 5.0.00.2. The new update brings a new option, optimization, and improvements to provide a seamless experience.

According to the changelog, the update added the Accessibility setting change option to the Nice Catch module. This new option shows a list of changes made to accessibility settings in the past. This option is added at the bottom of Nice Catch’s settings.

You can easily enable the Accessibility setting change option easily by following a few steps. Firstly, open Good Lock >> click on Life up category >> tap Catch and turn on the toggle >> Scroll down and click on the Accessibility setting change history toggle to turn it on.

Furthermore, the company now allows you long-press action on each event. It also optimizes the loading events and fixes some minor bugs to boost performance.

You can install this update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates, just need to download the 6.37MB software package. Also, you can directly download the update via third-party link sources mentioned here, if you haven’t got it officially, but we don’t recommend it.

It is an initial rollout so it may take some time to reach all eligible Galaxy devices. Notably, the latest Samsung Nice Catch 5.0.00.2 update is compatible with Galaxy devices running Android 13 based One UI 5.0 / One UI 5.1 only.

Samsung Nice Catch shows you a detailed history of when apps made vibrations, changed the ringer mode, changed call mode, displayed ads, showed toast popups, woke up the screen, and others along with time stamps for all instances.
