Samsung One UI 5.0 makes the user experience more welcoming and seamless through its new features and improvements over its previous version. In addition to several other sections of Settings, the company also enhanced the Notifications to make One UI 5.0 more intuitive. Users like to see or open a notification that attracts their eyes easily, however, you can’t edit the text of the notification but you can customize its style, Edge lighting, color, and more on your One UI 5.0-based Samsung smartphone.

The most attractive feature in the Notification pop-up is the Edge lighting style, when you enable it, you can see a light on all the edges of your smartphone, which gives a beautiful look. You can customize its color, effect, width, transparency, and more.

Samsung Edge Lighting Style Feature

You can easily enable the Edge lighting feature on your One UI 5.0-based Galaxy smartphone, just need to follow a few steps. Firstly open Settings on your Galaxy smartphone >> tap on Notifications >> Click on the Notification pop-up style option >> Press the Edge lighting style feature. Now three customizations options appear:

Effect:  You can tap on any effect to see its preview on the screen. On the first page, you can see only 7 effects, and swipe left to see 4 more.

• 11 Effects – Basic, Wave, Bubble, Glitter, Heart, Fireworks, Eclipse, Multicolor, Echo, Glow, spotlight.

Color: 

• Auto – If you want to keep the color that has come in the default, then leave it on the auto option.
• Color – You can select any one color from 11 basic colors or choose your favorite color by clicking on the gradient option.

Advanced:

• Transparency – Adjust the slider to maintain the transparency of Edge lighting.
• Width – You can adjust the width of the edge lighting from Narrow to Wide.
• Duration – You can manage notification pop-up time in three duration (Short, Medium, and Long) through the slider.

Now after selecting the wonderful effect, your favorite color, and duration, you have to press Done. That’s it, now whenever the notification comes you can see all the things including effect, color, and more that you have selected on your smartphone.
