Samsung LockStar update adds SmartSwitch backup and restore support

Samsung has released March 2023 update for the LockStar Good Lock module which comes with SmartSwitch support to deliver a better user experience.

The new update of the Samsung LockStar app arrives with build version 5.0.00.14 and an installation package size of 61.57 MB. You can install this update via Galaxy Store or download it directly from the link mentioned here.

March 2023 update for Samsung LockStar added SmartSwitch backup and restore support, so now you do not need to worry about your smartphone content. SmartSwitch provides an easy and secure way to transfer your content to new Galaxy devices.

The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some weeks/hours to reach all eligible Galaxy devices. Only Galaxy devices running Android 13-based One UI 5.1 / One UI 5.0 will receive the latest update.

You can manually check the latest update of LockStar via the Galaxy Store app >> Menu option >> Updates. If an update is available, you can install it by pressing on the refresh icon that appears next to the app name.
