With the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta update, the Korean tech giant has brought the multi-user profiles feature to the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. Users who are currently testing One UI 5.0 on their smartphones can enjoy this feature.
Samsung Galaxy allows you to easily switch user profiles directly from the lock screen to make your device more secure, which means you don’t need to unlock your smartphone to switch profiles.
But these happy moments will be only for a short time as Samsung is going to remove the multi-user profiles feature in the next beta update. It’s not a rumor, it’s officially confirmed. At the end of September, the One UI beta Team announced on the Samsung Members app that the company will not bring multi-user support with a stable One UI 5.0 update.
Multi-user profiles feature is already available for tablets and Samsung Galaxy smartphones users also want it on their smartphones. The reason behind not bringing this feature to Galaxy smartphones is that the developers are facing several issues due to the multi-user feature.
Since this is a highly demanding feature, Samsung will not shy away from bringing this feature to its Galaxy smartphones and will find a solution soon.
As the beta team confirmed not to bring multi user feature with stable One UI 5.0, but following tradition Samsung will release One UI 5.1, and the company should bring back this feature in this major update.
