According to the info, Samsung’s March 2023 security update is now available for download on carrier-unlocked Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. Verizon, T-Mobile & AT&T consumers can install the latest security patch to get enhanced system performance on their devices.
Since Samsung has recently released a feature-rich One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy devices, the March patch has no new features or major improvements. However, we recommend you not skip installing this patch update as it’s crucial for your privacy and system reliability.
How to update
On your Samsung phone, navigate toward system Settings and hit the Software update tab. Once done, tap the Download and install button and allow your Galaxy device to fetch new firmware on Samsung’s server. Follow the on-screen instructions and tap “Install now” to begin the procedure.

Next in One UI:
Shortly after distributing the One UI 5.1 firmware, Samsung started testing the One UI 5.1.1 version on Galaxy devices. While the next stable One UI version will be based on Android 13, regular Galaxy phones won’t get access to it due to large screen form factor limitation.
One UI 6.0 will arrive later this year, and we believe that the Android 14 Beta would go live for select Samsung devices by August 2023. The Galaxy S23 series will be the first beneficiary of this new software, while the Galaxy S22 is also eligible for early treatment.
