Thanks to the flat screen on the Galaxy S23+, it’s far more durable than the Galaxy S23 Ultra having a curved screen and boxy shape. PBKReviews earlier published the S23 Ultra drop test, showing the device shattered on the first drop from waist height.
With Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the flat display and rear side, the Galaxy S23 Plus suffered the same fate of failing the drop test in the first round.
Compared to the S23 Ultra’s curved panels, the cracks on the flat glass panels of the S23 Plus were significantly smaller. Even after dropping two times, the device remain working and the display didn’t face any trauma.
Since the reviewer dropped the device many times from different angles, the most expensive part – the display, remains working. It’s a big victory for the S23 Plus, as accidental drops occur cracks and visible scratches for sure.
