Samsung displays Galaxy S23 Ultra lighter than reality
Samsung website mentions that the weight of the Galaxy S23 Ultra is 233 grams, but there’s a catch. A tipster unexpectedly discovered a weight difference between two S23 Ultra models in which one matches the company’s claim and the second is heavier in reality.
According to IceUniverse, the weight of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (standard variant) is 237.5 grams. At the same time, the Samsung-exclusive color variant of the device weighs 233.5 grams, exactly the same as the company mentioned in the official specs sheet.
The additional color coating could be the reason behind this weight difference between the Cream and Light Blue variants of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, such 4 grams difference is a big thing in smartphones as it can be noticed while handling both simultaneously.
In previous smartphone launches, Samsung mentioned that the weight may vary by network technology and processor. However, the processor variation doesn’t exist in the latest Galaxy S23 series as the devices are available with Snapdragon for Galaxy chipset worldwide.
Sometimes, certain factors such as airflow or air pressure make a minor impact on the weight of things, but the exact 4 grams difference hints at a lack of info on the specs page. Our team reached out to Samsung for comment on the possibilities of weight difference, while the reply is awaited.

The device comes with a new power-efficient display panel in order to provide you with better battery life. In reviews and comparisons, the battery performance of the S23 Ultra matches iPhone 14 Pro. Moreover, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy seems nicely optimized with the software.
In the camera department, the Galaxy S23 Ultra packs a 200MP primary sensor. It ensures your images capture in the highest resolution, which won’t loss quality and get pixelated while cropping. Other camera sensors also offer better performance, thanks to the new algorithmic upgrades in One UI 5.1.
