As the US tech giant is likely to use more than 120 million OLED panels for the iPhone 14 series, Samsung Display is assumed to supply approx 80 million units for Apple iPhone 14 series models, followed by LG Display around 20 million units and China’s BOE around 6 million units.

It’s worth mentioning that the Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Plus equip low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) thin-film transistor (TFT) OLED panels. Moreover, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max use low -temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) TFT OLED panels.

The same report also points out that the Samsung Display supplies OLED panels for all four models, while LG Display is responsible for LTPS for the standard 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model and LTPO for the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max model.

The South Korean display manufacturer hopes to ship more than 60 million of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max models out of around 80 million. Notably, production problems at LG Display cleared the way for Samsung Display to grab the highest Apple OLED orders.
