Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 will be the flagship foldable smartphone of the year 2023. After the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold 4, we’ve started hearing rumors, leaks, and more information about the upcoming Galaxy foldable devices. Now, a new piece of information reveals that the company will use an upgraded 12-megapixel camera in Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5.

As per the tipster chunvn888’s tweet, the Samsung Galaxy Fold5 smartphone features a 50 MP camera similar to its predecessor Galaxy Z Fold4. This means that the company will not bring major camera changes with the next foldable. However, the 50 MP camera is also used on the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S22 Plus smartphones.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 will also use the same 12-megapixel camera but an upgraded version. However, it is not clear what changes or upgrades will be there but it is speculated that it will be larger than the 1/1.76″ unit on its predecessor.

Some recent reports have also indicated that the Galaxy Z Fold5 will be lighter than its predecessor. Also, it will not have a 200MP camera sensor as it is physically impossible.

Aside from this, Samsung may use the new waterdrop hinge design in its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones. Similar to their predecessors, both will feature an IPX8 rating for water resistance, while there’s no upgrade on the dust resistance feature.
