Breaking: Samsung rolls out One UI 5.1 to Galaxy S22 series in Europe, USA
Samsung starts One UI 5.1 update rollout for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones in the US and Europe. The latest firmware update comes with a list of new features and the most up-to-date security patch dated February 2023. Here are the build versions:
- Galaxy S22 – S901BXXU3CWAI
- S22 Plus – S906BXXU3CWAI
- S22 Ultra – S908BXXU3CWAI
- A user from the US confirmed the 5.1 rollout at T-Mobile
This hefty firmware update weighs about 2GB and you are recommended to install it through WiFi or an unmetered connection. One UI 5.1 has a lot of new features and improvements for various aspects as part of refining the overall user experience.
Hopefully, Samsung may not make other Galaxy smartphone owners wait too long for the One UI 5.1 update. Meanwhile, it’s important to note that the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 devices are also receiving the new One UI update in Europe.
What’s new with One UI 5.1?
The One UI 5.1 update is based on Android 13 operating system and brings additional improvements over the One UI 5.0. There are a handful of new features including enhancements to the Camera and Gallery apps with the ability to remaster and fine-tune photos saved on your phone.
Moreover, you can now directly access the Expert RAW camera app directly from the native Camera application. For multitasking, there are some improvements such as corner drag to quickly enter or exit full-screen mode.

How to update:
Head towards the Settings menu, tap the Software update tab, followed by Download and install. Let your device connect to Samsung’s software server and find out the new build. If a new build is available for your device and CSC, follow the on-screen instructions and enjoy!
