Samsung has not brought multiple changes with the latest March 2023 update for Galaxy S22 phones. It improves the system’s security and stability to deliver a seamless performance in order to maintain the users’ experience.

Aside from these, the company also addresses over five dozen privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities. These include 40 CVEs – 5 of Critical reveal and 35 or High level that come from Google’s Android security bulletin.

It further resolves 23-Galaxy Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures that were affecting various One UI apps and services and harming users’ privacy.

Galaxy S22 Battery also improved –

Samsung Galaxy S22 customers have been noticing battery drain and heating issues on their phones for a long. They hoped, One UI 5.1 will have some enhancements, but the battery drain remained unfixed.

On February 13, Samsung started sending the new One UI 5.1 feature drop update for the Galaxy S22 series alongside several models. After upgrading to the One UI 5.1, I feel Samsung has just brought the Android 13 with the One UI 5.0 update, and this new One UI 5.1 makes it perfect.

Thanks to the One UI 5.1, and Samsung of course, I don’t need to upgrade to the Galaxy S23 Ultra as my daily driver. Select Galaxy S23 Ultra features have debuted on my current Galaxy, and everything is free of cost here, huh, already paid over a thousand dollars.

Galaxy S22 widely uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as Samsung limited the Exynos to Europe. The new One UI 5.1 is greatly optimized with the phone’s hardware and the system is running seamlessly. Animation and visuals in One UI 5.1 are just WoW, I can’t define them in words.

Since everything is running as smoothly as butter, the One UI 5.1 reportedly brought some problems in which the most critical is battery draining. Users are reporting the same problem after upgrading to the December patch, which seems unfixed to date. Are you facing, head here?

Teased during the Samsung Developer Conference, the iOS-like Battery widget took about three months to arrive on Samsung’s most-premium 2022 smartphone. Don’t know why Samsung kept the new battery widget hidden in One UI 5.0 and unlocked with Galaxy S23.

In the One UI 5.0, I felt that the search function of One UI is not useful as there was a way to less relevant results while searching across the phone’s system. The company worked on usability improvements as the search is now even more powerful and results are close to perfection.

Samsung has also added some new features to the Gallery app, but I like to explore the Camera application. The biggest change I noticed is the integration of the Expert RAW app, which I expected to witness with the next Android upgrade. Hats off to Samsung!

Good Lock suite got some under-the-hood changes as it now runs quite better compared to the earlier version. Samsung is also expanding the newly launched modules and plugins to older models with app update with Camera Assistant being the most recent example.

When I triggered the One UI 5.1 installation, I saw a pretty great animation of One UI, as shown on other Android skins. After displaying “powered by Android” for a while, the phone showed a never before One UI 5.1 animation, which lets us know Samsung is working on all aspects.

For the user interface, there are no notable changes and I’m eyeing the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 to bring some major redesign in the UI. Since the birth of One UI, Samsung has not brought a major redesign, as Google did with the Android 12 operating system.

Anyways, I’m pretty much happy using the Galaxy S22 Ultra with this amazing One UI 5.1. The battery status widget and Spotify tracks recommendation in the Smart Suggestions widget are some of my favorite features of One UI. Why not you should also share your favorite feature with us?

According to the tipster, Samsung has made improvements to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s main camera, ultra-wide camera, and front camera, while the 3x and 10x telephoto sensors remain unchanged.

Since the prototype remain limited to testing, it’s interesting to see that the Korean tech giant may have considered ditching the curved display from the Galaxy S22 Ultra as well. As the last year’s testing didn’t give fruitful outcome, the Galaxy S23 Ultra also features curved display.
